Pangram is a word game app for iOS. This privacy policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

You can play the daily puzzle without creating an account. In that case, your game progress is stored locally on your device.

If you use duels or create an account, we collect and store the following data on our servers:

• Player name — the name you choose, visible to players you duel with.
• Email address — required when creating an account. Used to verify your identity with a one-time code, to let you sign in on other devices, and to sync your progress. We do not send marketing emails.
• Game progress — the words you find and your scores for daily puzzles and duels, so your progress stays in sync across your devices. In a duel, your name and score are visible to your opponent.
• A random user ID — a technical identifier that links your data to your account. It is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

We use Supabase to store this data and Resend to deliver verification emails. Your email address is never shared with other players or sold to third parties.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can notify you about duel results and an occasional reminder (at most one notification per day). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Advertising

Pangram displays ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect anonymized data for serving ads, such as an advertising ID and device information. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

You can remove ads through a one-time in-app purchase.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pangram does not have access to your payment details.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app via the Account section. Alternatively, you can contact us at info@thewitstudios.com and we will remove it.

Children's Data

Pangram is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Creating an account (which requires an email address) is optional.

We may update this policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page.
